Ingredients

  • 280g surimi
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 2 green onion
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 16 large wonton wrappers
  • sunflower oil

Method

  1. Preheat the sunflower oil (or any oil for frying) to 150°C
  2. Shred or dice the surimi and green onion in small pieces. Combine all of the ingredients save the wonton wrappers.
  3. In a wonton wrapper, lay 2 teaspoons of the filling in the center. Dab the edges with water and lift two opposing corners of the wrapper and pinch only the tip of it. Then lift the adjacent corners and seal them. Make sure to pinch them very well to prevent leakage as you fry, especially the tip of the wonton.
  4. Deep fry the crab rangoons until golden brown and crispy.

Tip

Serve with sweet and sour sauce, or sweet chili sauce.
