Ingredients

  • 450g ground meat
  • ½ grated onion
  • 1 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 pepper
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 3 tsp turkish spice blend
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C
  2. Combine the meat, onion, yogurt, garlic, spices and massage the meat until it becomes tacky. Place it between 2 parchment papers and flatten it out very thin across the parchment.
  3. Roll up all the parchments, and cook on a tray in the oven along with sliced tomato and pepper for 15 minutes
  4. Take it out of the oven and on a much higher heat cook for no longer than 5 minutes until browned
  5. Serve on flatbread, pita, tortilla, etc. with tahini sauce and pomegranate molasses

Tahini Sauce
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tbsp greek yogurt
  • thin out with water and salt to taste
